Prior to founding Argus nearly 15 years ago, Len was a consultant at First Manhattan Consulting Group and the MAC Group. Michael Heller
PresidentMichael has over 20 years of consulting experience in the financial services industry and co-founded Argus. Michael is responsible for sales and business development at Argus. In this role, Michael is responsible for leading the company's sales organization, launching new studies, and managing Argus's key partnerships. Previously, Michael focused on database development and profitability analysis. Over the past several years, Michael has provided strategic advisory services to most of the 20 largest US banks and eight of the 10 largest UK financial institutions. Prior to founding Argus, Michael was a consultant at First Manhattan Consulting Group. He has an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a BA with high honors from Wesleyan University.Close X -
Nana Banerjee
Chief Operating OfficerIn his role as Chief Operating Officer, Nana is responsible for Argus’s Data Operations, Client Delivery, Product Delivery and Fraud divisions as well as the achievement of the company's operational effectiveness objectives. Nana re-joined Argus in April 2009, coming from Citibank UK where he was the Managing Director of its Credit Card Business (2007-2009). Prior to Citibank, Nana served as Vice President, Marketing at General Electric and led pricing, analytics, and portfolio management functions for its Retail Consumer Finance business. In his prior life at Argus, Nana spent 7 years (1998-2005) in different roles and left as Principal and Partner to join GE. Nana received his PhD in applied mathematics from the State University of New York, Binghamton and an MS in mathematics from Indian Institute of Technology and BS with honors in mathematics from St Stephens College, Delhi.Close X -
Michael Blumstein
Chief Administrative OfficerIn his role as Chief Administrative Officer, Mike has responsibility for Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, and Legal. Prior to joining Argus, Mike served as Chief Financial Officer for Gerson Lehrman Group. Previously, Mike was Morgan Stanley's Director of US Equity Research and a leading insurance and financial services equity analyst at Morgan Stanley and First Boston. Early in his career, Mike was a business-financial reporter for The New York Times. Mike received an AB in economics from Brown University and earned an MBA with distinction from Harvard Business School. He is a chartered financial analyst.Close X -
Edward Niestat
Senior Managing DirectorEddie is the Global Head of Sales and Business Development at Argus. He joined Argus in 2008 and brings over 25 years of consulting experience from several notable consulting firms. He was a Senior Partner with PA Consulting Group for 15 years where he led their global Financial Services Practice, first from their London office before opening their New York office. Prior to that, he worked with AT Kearney Consulting as well as First Manhattan Consulting Group. An expert in financial services strategy and risk management, Eddie earned his BA with honors from Princeton University, and received both his JD and MBA degrees from Northwestern University.Close X -
Michael Bopp
Managing DirectorMichael joined Argus in 2010 and has over 14 years of experience in the financial services industry. He began his career at Citi Cards performing various Finance and Decisions Management functions. In 2003 Michael moved to GE Capital, becoming the head of Pricing and Analytics for GE Capital Retail Consumer Finance. Immediately before coming to Argus, Michael headed Marketing and Analytics at TD Ameritrade. Michael has a master’s degree in industrial and organizational psychology from the University of Connecticut and a BA in psychology from Johns Hopkins University.Close X -
Nicholas Daffan
Managing DirectorNick is currently responsible for Argus’s Data Operations and Product Support groups. Previously, Nick co-led the launch of Argus’s two newest Syndicated Studies, the Deposit Account Payment Study (in the US) and Current Account Benchmarking Study (in the UK), along with Alex Sulkowski. He joined Argus in 2000 and has over 15 years of consulting and information technology experience, including extensive database architecture, process design, and programming experience. Prior to joining Argus, Nick was at Unisys Corporation. There, he led a team partnering with Microsoft to push SQL Server into the very large database space. He also worked at First Manhattan Consulting Group focusing on retail banking strategy, management information systems, and risk management. He has a BS degree from Pennsylvania State University.Close X -
Stephen Denby
Managing DirectorIn his role, Steve will be overseeing the growth of Argus’s European business. He joined Argus in 2012 and brings over 25 years’ experience of customer management techniques. Prior to joining Argus, Steve was responsible for international business expansion and providing consultancy to Financial Services clients. He most recently worked as a Partner at Radar Risk and prior to this Steve was CEO for the risk and analytics consultancy firm, Jaywing, and a managing director with Experian Decision Analytics, responsible for P&L and strategy across EMEA. Steve received a BSc in economics from the University of Salford.Close X -
John Jones
Managing DirectorJohn has almost 20 years of experience in the financial services sector and joined Argus in 2010 to lead Western Europe Client Delivery Operations. He has extensive experience in financial modeling, maximizing customer value, and M&A. Prior to joining Argus, he held senior- and executive-level roles in Citigroup and MBNA in the UK, USA, and Spain including Head of Credit Cards. John qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Ernst & Young and holds an MBA from Manchester Business School and a BEng from Imperial College, University of London.Close X -
Alex Sulkowski
Managing DirectorAlex is currently responsible for Argus’s Research and Development group. Previously, Alex co-led the launch of Argus’s two newest Syndicated Studies, the Deposit Account Payment Study (in the US) and Current Account Benchmarking Study (in the UK), along with Nick Daffan. Prior to that, Alex led the Product Solutions group, which provides account level profitability solutions and M&A portfolio valuation support to the leading US credit card issuers. He joined Argus in 1997 and has over 15 years of consulting experience in the financial services industry. Prior to joining Argus, Alex was at First Manhattan Consulting Group. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa, summa cum laude with a BA in economics from Yale University. Alex spends his spare time pursuing his innovative scientific ideas that include researching and building exoskeletons.Close X
